Fun with Science

Kids love activities! They simply cannot constrain their joy when it is activity time because it gives them immense pleasure to be involved. Our Fun with Science activity on February 15th 2020, for our PP2 students, proved this right.

The PP2 teachers at Presidency Kids planned a few simple but exciting activities to give children the taste of science and the amount of fun they can have while learning.

The first experiment was none other than the intriguing “Walking water”. The teachers and kids used water and food colour to create this magical experiment. They placed a kitchen tissue paper to connect the glasses and observed that the colour from the glasses started transferring and soon, they saw water walking between the glasses.

Once they took in the thrill of what they saw, they moved to the next experiment – BUBBLE SNAKE! They used an empty water bottle from the school recycling bin, a rubber band, a sock, and dish soap to make the Bubble Snake. They dipped the sock into this liquid and started blowing the bubbles with joy! Huriya, Tanmaya, Varad, Virat, Harshith and Shrusti managed to blow the biggest snakes!

Teachers along with kids had a lot of fun by blowing bubble snakes, “I and my students had a competition of blowing the biggest snake.” said Trupti teacher of PP2.

What an engaging and wholesome activity this was! Everyone enjoyed and learned so many things in the process. The parents of Harshith were pleased to see that we were incorporating activity-based learning in pre-primary years itself. We hope our kids learnt the Science behind the activities and wish to continue the same with support from the parents.
