Sports Day!

The idiom “All work and no play make Jack a dull boy” holds true even for the young learners. “We at Presidency strongly believe that for the holistic development of a child, sports are equally important as academics.”, said our principal Mr.Pavana Kumar during our Annual Sports Day.

The spirit of friendly competition comes alive on Sports Day.  The children participated in a wide range of sports events, cheer on their teammates and learn valuable lessons in sportsmanship.  Sports Day is an all-day activity held on 21st & 22nd Dec 2019 when the weather is coolest.

More than the physical activity, such an event help children build confidence and social skills and also teaches them the benefits of goal-setting and practice. Parents were invited too to join the kids throughout the day not just to cheer up their little superstars but also participate in the events.

During the fun-filled day, children along with their parents participated in various races, drills and games. The day started with a drill by PP2 students of Presidency Kids including Nursery and PP-I classes. The students entertained the audience with a spectacular drill where they performed various exercises. Children participated in large numbers in engaging and innovative races like coin race, Hoola Hoop Race, Rabbit race, Hurdle race, obstacle course and lemon & spoon which got the crowd cheering. Kids were enthralled indulging parent races like the ‘running race’ and ‘Lemon & spoon’ races. At the end of the event, children & parents were invited to stage for prize distribution & facilitation. It was exhilarating to look at little ones cheering for their parents.

We hope both the students and parents had an enthralling experience during Sports Day and expecting the same participation further.
