We learned how to cook without fire!

We all have different tastes and likes when it comes to food but one thing is common: we need food for survival! But, did you know that we enjoy food even more when we prepare it ourselves?

Yes! Cooking is an excellent hobby that gives us even more satisfaction when we eat. Also, the joy of others eating what we cook is exceptional. Keeping this in mind, we came up with a fun activity for our PP-1 children. They all came together on 18th August 2018 to try their hands at cooking without the use of fire. They were all thrilled to realize that even though they are tiny tots they can make simple meals without worrying about fire and other such things.

The event brought out the best in all our kids as they donned their chef hats to make sandwiches. They first learned about the ingredients required and how nutritious each of them is. The entire event helped children use their creative and decision-making skills. It was also a medium of discovery for some kids as they realized that they want to keep cooking as a hobby!

Through this fun activity, we wanted to teach our children about nutrition and why we must always have nutritious food. Learning the importance of nutrients at an early age will make it easier for children to adopt healthy habits as they grow older.

Snehith and Vignesh were overexcited to explain the whole process of sandwich preparation in their own words while Pranamya and Amathya enjoyed every bite of their sandwiches wholeheartedly. A few students such as Akshith Rao said they were already eager about the next activity!

We are glad all our students had a lot of fun through the activity. We would like to thank all the parents for always supporting us and cooperating with us.
